What to Expect

When you come to an event look for Mission Control (Info Table, New Member Welcome Team, and Club Store).  It is "the hub" for our events.  There are various opportunities where you can connect with other members from the club and all events are family friendly.  Our events consist of:  

     - Weekly Mini-Meets hosted by local area club staff.

     - Monthly Main Events such as:

          - Monthly Houston Coffee and Cars - 1st Saturday.  Gather and see what the Houston car scene is all about.  

          - Monthly Central Meet & Greet - 3rd Friday.  Also known as our "monthly family reunion". 

          - Various "theme-based" events such as Car Shows, Mod Meets, Dyno Days, Foodie Runs, etc.

     - Annual Lone Star Mopar Fest in October.

Event Conduct Guidelines
All event attendees represent Space City LX Modern Mopar and are asked to act according to the following guidelines.
 
Please refrain from:
  1. Loud music.
  2. High/Excessive revving of your engine.
  3. Burnouts or other exhibition of horsepower.
  4. Reckless driving.
  5. Behaviors that can be deemed obscene.
  6. Excessive speed when traveling in a caravan group.
These guidelines are in place to maintain the reputation of Space City LX as club that respects our surroundings and our members conduct themselves in a professional manner. 
 
As a member of this club, we ask that you help the entire Club Staff (Leadership Team and Area Coordinators) enforce these and any other local host event guidelines.
 
 
Weather Related Cancellations

In case weather becomes a factor on event days, our VP of Member Services will be in touch with the Director, Member Advisors, and Member Reps several hours prior to the event time. 

 

A "go" or "no go" decision will be made 45 minutes prior to the first mini-caravan departure time.  All MAs/MRs will be notified of the decision to cancel an event.


We ask members to keep aware of an event cancellation by using the following methods:

  1. Contact your Member Representative by phone/text.
  2. Check facebook.com/spacecitylx for status update.
  3. Check twitter.com/spacecitylx for status update.
  4. Check specific forum event thread or ShoutBox (you must be a forum user to see ShoutBox).
  5. Call the SCLX Hotline, 281-816-6727.

Thank you for your cooperation and help in spreading the word should we need to cancel an event due to weather.
