GENERAL FORUM RULES

Welcome to the SCLX Forum.  Registration is limited to members of SpaceCityLX Modern Mopar.  This forum is self-policed by participants.  Forum participants govern their actions in accordance with our policies and may report posts that violate our rules or "family friendly" atmosphere.  

Your registration to use this forum acknowledges these rules and that you will abide by the rules as outlined here.

  1. Be respectful of all members and avoid personal attacks.
  2. Expressions of hatred based on race/ethnicity, sex, sexual orientation, disability, and/or religion are prohibited and may result in immediate banning.
  3. No adult material of any kind.
  4. No duplicate threads.
  5. No discussion of politics or religion.
  6. No unauthorized advertisements from Non-Partner Vendors.
  7. No solicitation of members for business opportunities, MLM, or anything deemed as “networking” to profit your personal business. 
  8. A "job needed/job wanted" posting will be reviewed and may be allowed on a case-by-case basis.
  9. No postings about street racing or illegal driving.
  10. Signature pictures must be no larger than “size=300”.  Moderators reserve the right to edit the size of your signature picture.
  11. No profanity (posts are subject to immediate deletion).
  12. You agree to not post any messages that are obscene, vulgar, sexually-orientated, hateful, threatening, or otherwise a violation of existing laws.
  13. No duplicate accounts.
  14. Postings for events that coincide with SCLX calendar events may be removed at the discretion of the Leadership Team.
  15. Posts with links to sites outside of the SCLX domain are reviewed and may be deleted on a case-by-case basis.

FAILURE TO ABIDE BY THE FORUM RULES MAY RESULT IN THE FOLLOWING ACTIONS:
  • First Infraction - Warning of rules violation by Private Message (PM) and editing of post.
  • Second Infraction - Deletion of post and temporary ban of 7 days. 
  • Third Infraction - Deletion of post and permanent ban.

If you feel you cannot abide by these rules, please notify the administrator (sclxadmin) by PM or email (admin@spacecitylx.com) and your account will be deleted.
 
 
VENDOR POSTING POLICY

It is our goal to keep this forum "vendor-free".  Any threads or Quick Shout entries that have the appearance of being vendor-related may be deleted.  If a vendor contacts you and asks you to "post" a special deal to SCLX members in this forum, please contact our President, "JohnnyBee" before doing so.  All posts without pre-authorization will be deleted by the moderators.
 

CLUB PARTNERS
 
Some general club partner guidelines:
  1. Positive references from members who have bought or used your products or services.
  2. Offer SCLX Members discounted pricing instead of paying a sponsor or advertising fee.
  3. Business must be "LX" related (parts, services, etc).
  4. Interviewed and approved by the SCLX Leadership Team.

To assure that these partners are taking care of our members properly, we solicit feedback from members.  Partners may be removed at any time, at the discretion of the Leadership Team. 
 
 
MOB (MEMBER OWNED BUSINESS) GUIDELINES

For club members who operate a business that provides products or services to club members, we created the designation of MEMBER OWNED BUSINESS (MOB).
 
We will gladly list a MOB in the a section of the forum based on the following guidelines:
  1. Owner has been a member of SCLX for six months as indicated by “JOIN” registration.
  2. Member’s business offers products or services to the LX/LY platform of cars. 
  3. Member can provide five positive references from other members who have bought or used their products or services. 
  4. Inclusion as a “MOB” subject to vote by Leadership Team. 
  5. Negative feedback from members will be investigated by the Leadership Team and may result in removal as a “MOB”.

** SCLX does not charge any advertising fees or require vendor sponsorships.  This allows us to remain impartial.   Pursue relationships with any partner, MOB, or individual at your own risk.
 

RULES FOR POSTING ITEMS IN OUR FOR SALE SECTION
To post in the FOR SALE section, a SCLX member must:

  1. Be a member of the club for at least 7 days as indicated by their "JOIN" registration.
  2. Forum member must have at least 25 posts.  This requirement can be waived by moderators when taking into consideration:
    • Member's activity attending events.
    • Member's activity on other forums.
    • Member's standing the in general LX community.
  3. You must post a price and no auctions allowed.
  4. All posts will be reviewed as to who is posting and who may benefit from the sale.
  5. Posts made by members on behalf of non-members are reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
  6. All threads that are inactive for over 1 month may be closed and moved to the Sale Archive.
  7. Postings referencing sales outside of SCLX (Craigslist, eBay, other forums, etc.) may be allowed on a case-by-case basis.

If you do not meet these requirements your post will be deleted.
