Hello Members!

I know it's a busy week for many of you with last minute shopping, trips out of town, etc.  Just wanted to mention a few things.

First, thank you for your support of SCLX Gives Back Month of Giving.  You dropped off toys, help wrap gifts, and helped restock the food bank.  When we dropped off the food last Saturday many food bank staff recognized us (okay, recognized the cars).  They asked "where's the rest of your crew"?  Obviously members' involvement last year with volunteering to sort food and answer phones left an impact.  The Prez is in discussions with them for an event in the first half of 2012.  It's going to be crazy good so mark your calendars.  Wait, you don't know the date… we'll, let's just say nothing is more fitting for SCLX to have a "members helping others" event than in our birthday month.

Second, we've got several informal events going on.  Here's a short recap, full details in the SCLX Forum.  Remember, area mini meets are open to all areas.

12/28 - Wednesday - Foodie Cruse to In-N-Out Burger in Dallas

Thirdly, one of our closest supporters, Billet Technology, is running a club giveaway contest on Facebook.  The club with the most people who "LIKE" their page will win $500 towards an event next year.  We need your help to win the contest and we'll spend the entire amount on food for an upcoming event for you.  Visit www.facebook.com/billettechnology and make sure in your profile your city is HOUSTON.  You can change it back on 12/30 (winner announced 12/29).

Finally, as we are about to begin 2012 we remind you that SCLX is supported by members for members.  Since our inception in 2007 we have been a dues-free organization.  We accept no sponsor or advertising money to run the club, our website is free from ads as is our forum.  If you benefit from being a member in the form of information, help, friendship, etc…. please consider making a donation in the first part of 2012.  Space City LX Modern Mopar is a 501c(7) Non-Profit and all donations and proceeds from gear sales fund club operations.  We have an announcement coming soon about our plans to take your event experience to the next level.  We are fortunate to have members like you who further the mission of the club… members helping members.
