The United Way Bud Classic Car Show celebrated it's 20th, and final, year with a great showing of vehicles.  SCLX has been attending this show as a group since 2009 and for the previous two years members helped the club win the 1st place award for Club Participation.  This year we were going for our three-peat.  We are glad to announce... three-peat complete.  We had 34 cars officially registered with another 6 that showed up to spectate.  Second place for the category was not even close.

It was an honor to be recognized by the show organizers as the three-time winner for participation and how car clubs are a big reason events like this are successful. Here's a note from Len, one of the organizers...

Good Morning Johnny, 

Glad you enjoyed the Car Show. There is something to be said about winning the "Most Club Members" trophy three years running though.  You seem to have a nice, tight knit group of people who take a lot of pride in their cars.  Thanks for being part of our Bud family for all these years. We will truly miss all of our extended Car Show friends.

We are sad to see the United Way Bud Classic Car Show come to an end... really would be nice to get a chance to collect a 4th Club Trophy.  Thank you to all of you SCLX members who make this club such a recognized force in the Houston car culture and special thanks to the members who participated in this event and secured the three-peat.
